Interview with Darren Woodson regarding TO signing

ESPN Interview with Darren Woodson regarding TO signing

Someone was going to pay for TO. The Cowboys were looking for a playmaker and TO fits right in. Michael Irvin's relationship probably had something to do with it and assuring Jerry Jones that he's a good person off the field.

In my opinion, he's one of the top 3 receivers in the league, and he will make this team better.

Bill Parcells is a very confident man. He's a coach that will get the best out of you. The question is how will TO react to Bill pushing him when things aren't going well. Parcells is an in your face coach. He doesn't care who you are. I'm curious how TO will react to a coach that is like that.

He's not going to like Drew Bledsoe being an in your face type too. Someone will have to back down sooner or later. Bledsoe has always been a leader, and I think he's done a good job with Keyshawn and the other personalities. I think Bledsoe will handle it in the right way though, the big question is how Parcells and TO will handle it.

After TO's first touchdown catch, I think the Dallas fans will forgive and forget. There's going to be a lot of talk about Cowboys fans hating him, but I guarantee they will jump on the bandwagon just like the San Fran and Philly fans did once they saw him. If TO gets them to the Super Bowl they'll fall in love with him.

I'm sure Jerry is going to catch a lot of flack. A lot of fans out here don't like the decision. For myself, it's just what it is, you're getting one of the best football players in the league, but you're also getting a guy that can divide locker rooms. I just hope it works out.

You get instand stardom with TO. You have to double team TO. You open up running lanes for Julius, passing lanes for Witten, Terry Glenn is going to tear it up. Given time, Bledsoe is just as good a QB as anyone in the league. I wish I could have an opportunity to play with TO, he's a special athlete.

Honestly, I couldn't imagine seeing TO as a Cowboy after that infamous game. George Teague is probably going to be mad at me after what I'm saying. But people forgive in this league. Look at the Yankees signing Johnny Damon. People move on. Once TO gets that star on his head, he'll just be another great Cowboy.
