It's Been a Long Time Coming.....
Every scrap that falls off the Cowboys table is now fodder for speculation of fans. Our New Orleans Saints are under the leadership of Coach Sean Payton. Those to whom Coach Haz looked for leadership and the "X" factor are soon to be swept out. This is largely due to the lack of the "X" factor - self discipline and leadership. Why would Haz keep such a fan favorite around like Fred McAfee? Freddie MAC dates back to the Mora era with the Saints and has many, many miles on him. Coach Payton is looking to change the team identity and establish a work ethic here. Clearly, the ethic here previously was lacking. This will be difficult to handle for dear fans. Coach will be making some emotional cuts to the nerve endings, but it must happen to move forward.
Speculation abounds - Dan Campbell is coming in to play TE for us. Dan only had a scant few catches last season. What happens to Lamont Hall?
The Dillyberto Dream Return of Mr. Lover! Could it happen? Hold on to your blogger! He is a free agent, but 10 years of experience in the league can wear on a guy. Drafted in 1996 by the Oakland Raiders and picked up by Our New Orleans Saints in 1997, La'Roi could give us a spark.
Someone else questioned the possibility of Bradie James coming over to work for Coach Gibbs. Look, we need a linebacker. I don't care if its Pat Swilling, Dave Washington of the 1980 Saints, even Keith Mitchell would move this team forward at that position.
