The Cowboys have begun preliminary negotiations with quarterback Tony Romo regarding a contract extension, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
Our View
There should be no doubt that Romo is ahead of Drew Henson on the depth chart at this point.

The Cowboys and linebacker Bradie James have begun preliminary negotiations regarding a contract extension, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
Our View
James previously said he'd like to have something done by the second week of the regular season. The Cowboys had three major starters (James, Jason Witten, Roy Williams) headed into the final year of their contracts, and two of those guys have received extensions. It's not surprising that they're working on the linebacker, too.
