The Cowlishaw Post Game Report
The Cowlishaw Post-Game Report:
While the writers in Seattle are downstairs, the writer in Coppell will share some thoughts on Cowboys' 13-3 victory:
...Seattle is toast. Cardinals rise in the West.
No, seriously, I think Arizona will contend with the Seahawks. Seattle probably still wins the division, though it could go to the final week, barring the usual Cardinals' injuries.
...By Nov. 1, Junior Glymph will have been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week at least six times. Love the post from someone named Pat that listed Staubach, Dorsett and Glymph as his all-time three favorite Cowboys. Good list , but the late Colin Ridgeway has to be in there somewhere.
...Great night for Romo. As impressive as the 76 percent completions is the no real mistakes, no sacks. Let's not overdue it, but he played without Terrell Owens, without much of Terry Glenn, Jason Witten or Julius Jones and really managed a nice game.
On the downside, I expect to be reading some very boring, politically correct quotes from him soon. He was much more interesting two years ago when the young Mosley was the only one who talked to him.
...In case you were totally locked into the Cowboys' game tonight, you may not realize that Oleg Maskaev took out Hasim Rahman (whom he literally knocked out of the ring 7 years ago) in 12 rounds tonight. That means that all four heavyweight champions (yes, three would not be enough) hail from what once was the Soviet Union.
...Next week in Shreveport, let's start Marion Barber and see what he does with 15 to 20 touches as we continue to look at this team's future.
...Someone named Draegerman ragging on me in this blog.
...Love it when Todd Archer talks about "jack linebackers.''
