Mickey on Ticket

-Parcells told Romo Thursday night that he was definitely starting. I don't know at what point he decided he would take every snap. You could tell Romo was tired at the end of the game. He hasn't played a whole game in quite some time.
-One good thing for Romo this game, if you only get a few series in a game, you are more apt to take chances to show the coaches that you can do something. Allowing him to play the whole game let him get into a rhythm and not rush things.
-I thought Ellis looked good, the experiment continues.
Not sure how well the OL really did, they didn't run real well, but they did protect Romo.
-The run defense looked pretty good, I realize Alexander didn't play much, but then again he usually doesn't do too well against Dallas.
-Zimmer said after the game that he didn't like their third down coverage in the second half. He thought the man coverage was pretty good except for Henry on one play.
-Outside of the first series, the offense looked pretty good.
The only injury of note was Crayton. He did leave the stadium in a boot and on crutches. We'll know more tomorrow on his status. We do know this isn't the same injury he had last year.
-If Crayton is out with TO not practicing, the Cowboys are going to be pretty short on WR in TC.
-The reason, I think, Coleman and Shanle were starting was to showcase them in a trade. Shanle has been playing with the third team and Shanle with the second team. They started both of them. They do want to trade for a WR, but a WR that one of those players will bring, not a #1 or #2 type. They aren't going to get a Lelie and they aren't going to sign Mitchell IMO. Are you really comfortable going into the season with Hurd as a starter?
-Hurd did pretty well outside of the first dropped pass. He did miss one other that was catchable, but it would have been tough. Not bad for an undrafted rookie FA.
-Practice has moved to 1:00 today and Bill has scheduled two practices for Saturday.
