Cowboys Team Report
Jean-Jacques Taylor
Dallas Morning News
LG Kyle Kosier isn't physical, which means he sometimes struggles at the point of attack and can be bull rushed. But he has the athleticism and the quickness to get to the second level to block linebackers or to the perimeter to block defensive backs.
INJURY REPORT: With WR Terrell Owens out 2-4 weeks with a broken finger, Patrick Crayton and rookie Sam Hurd will compete for the starting job. Crayton has the best hands on the team, and Hurd has good height (6-2) and played well in camp. Teams likely will roll coverage toward Terry Glenn, so the Cowboys will have to be creative to make big plays in the passing game.
PROBLEM SPOT: The pass rush must be more productive to help an offense that will struggle occasionally. OLBs DeMarcus Ware and Greg Ellis are the keys. In the 3-4, they're relied upon to be the primary pass rushers. If they don't have good sacks numbers, the team will struggle.
