From the locker room

Back from the locker room

Bill Parcells scolded a reporter for using the word "touches" in reference to Terrell Owens.

"That's a basketball word," Parcells snarled.

He said he wasn't pleased with how his defense played early in the game, saying it was a little "lethargic."

He didn't have much to say about Terrell Owens' performance.

"He caught a couple of balls," Parcells said. "...You were there, what do you think?"

Asked about Vince Young's performance in the first start in the NFL, Parcells said, "When you get behind like that, it's a different deal. He'll cause some people some trouble."

Parcells said he didn't see Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth stomp on Andre Gurode's face. He did say that once Haynesworth's ejection seemed to coincide with the Cowboys' running game getting on a roll.

He wasn't pleased with Mike Vanderjagt's performance. Vanderjagt's field goal attempt from 26 yards bounced off the right upright and he had a trouble getting his first couple of kickoffs off the ground.

"I have to reconsider that," Parcells said of the kicking situation.

Vanderjagt said that he struggled when asked to kick to a certain direction. He said he did just fine when he was allowed to kick it down the middle.

Anyone still out there?
