Original A liberal dose article: Cowboys' choices aren't all clear-cut
The sweating officially began when the preseason finale ended Thursday.
Cornerback Nate Jones, fullback Lousaka Polite, receiver Jerheme Urban and other Cowboys await word whether they will be part of the 53-man roster. Dallas cuts it roster from 75 to 53 players today.
'I can't stay up worrying about it,' Jones said. 'They either want to keep me or they don't. I want to stay, but it's out of my hands.'
As usual, difficult decisions must be made.
Who to keep at wide receiver? And in the secondary?
Jerry Jones said after Thursday's game at Minnesota that the team will not attempt to put linebacker Greg Ellis on the physically unable to perform list. That means Ellis, unless he's cut, will take a roster spot even if he's unable to play.
Mac Engel predicts the 53-man roster, 8D
