DMN Blog: Glenn Willing to Re-Sign
Cornerback changes
Do you really believe the Cowboys will keep the current cornerbacks on the roster?
I'm of the belief the team will make another move at corner. I can't believe the team has that much confidence in Jacques Reeves as the third corner on passing downs.
Aaron Glenn is open to returning to the team if the Cowboys want to re-sign him once the season starts according to his agent Jimmy Sexton.
Glenn was one of the key veterans in the locker room and he will be missed. However, he was much slower than last season and he did get his knee drained during training camp. With Terence Newman battling foot problems it would be difficult to rely on Glenn to cover the No. 2 receiver if Newman had to miss a game.
So, from that standpoint, the Cowboys did the right thing. Now, they have to find some quality backups.
Joey Thomas getting cut was a surprise, but he was up and down during his time in Dallas. Thomas told me he expects to sign with another team.
