DMN Blog: Ellis officially out
The Cowboys have finally ruled Greg Ellis out for Sunday's game. Yeah, I know, stunning news.
People talk about how much the Cowboys will miss Ellis' pass-rushing skills, and that was certainly the case after he got hurt last season. But I think Anthony Spencer will be fine when he can pin his ears back and try to get to the quarterback.
The concern is how Spencer will hold up against the run, especially when he has coverage responsibilities. Expect to see a whole lot of Brandon "Big Mouth" Jacobs running right at the Cowboys' first-round pick.
