Campbell, Hood and Folk headline NFC Players of the Week

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell, Cardinals cornerback Rod Hood and Cowboys kicker Nick Folk earned NFC Player of the Week honors for Week 5.

In a 34-3 rout of the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Campbell completed 23-of-29 passes for 248 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions to earn the Offensive Player of the Week award. Campbell, who earned his first career award, set career-highs in completions, yards, completion percentage (79.3) and passer rating (125.3).

Hood earned his first career Defensive Player of the Week award after recording five tackles and two interceptions, including a 68-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of Arizona's 34-31 win over St. Louis. Hood is in his first season with the Cardinals after signing a five- year contract this past offseason

Folk earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors after hitting on all four of his field-goal attempts, including a 53-yarder as time expired that gave Dallas an improbable 25-24 win over Buffalo on Monday night. Folk actually hit the game-winning field goal twice, as Bills head coach Dick Jauron called a timeout to nullify his first attempt.
