DMN Blog: The Original 81 vs. the other 81
T.O. took a break from his media boycott to do his weekly radio show on 790 The Ticket in Miami. Host Dan Le Batard asked T.O. to say whether the Original 81 or the other 81 had the edge in seven catgories.
Here's my opinion in each catgory. Follow the jump to see what T.O. said.
Route running -- Neither. This is a weakness for Randy Moss and T.O.
Speed -- Moss, who was a 4.2 guy coming into the league and hasn't slowed down much.
Leaping ability -- Moss. They both filled highlight reels as dunkers during their hooping days, but Moss had the edge because of his one-inch height advantage.
Hands -- Moss, hands down.
Over the middle -- T.O., who is much tougher than wimpy Moss.
Deep threat -- Moss might be the best of all-time, so he gets the edge. But T.O. is awfully good.
Quarterback -- Moss. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning stand alone on the top tier. Tony Romo is trying to get there.

That’s no contest. I’m going with me all day over the middle.
Better on the deep routes, the Original 81 or the other 81?
Well, he gets more opportunity to go deep, moreso than I, so I’ll give him that edge. But I still can stretch the field.
You stopped kissing your hands long enough to give him one edge? Better quarterback, the Original 81 or the other 81?
Oh, by far, I’m the better quarterback than him. I can throw the ball 75 or 80 yards.
