T.O.'s health would have been a huge deal no matter who the Cowboys met in the divisional round. The Giants, who better hope the trusty hyperbaric chamber malfunctions, coming to town makes his recovery that much more important.
Simply put, T.O. torches the Giants. He burned them for four touchdowns in their two meetings this season -- two in the opener at Texas Stadium and two with the NFC East lead on the line in Jersey.
Oh, the Giants can stop T.O. They proved that by shutting him out during the first half of the season opener. Of course, that opened things up for Jason Witten to do whatever he wanted.
And T.O., perhaps inspired by a Jerry pep talk (or not), took over during the second half. He had three catches for 87 yards and a couple TDs.
He started slow against the Giants in the November game, too, but he finished with six catches for 125 yards and two TDs.
Moral of the post: If T.O. is close to normal, you can count on at least a couple big plays by him against the Giants' so-so secondary.
Oh, and he has some playoff history against the Giants, too. He went off for a nine-catch, 177-yard, two-TD performance to carry the 49ers to the biggest comeback in NFC playoff history.
