Wade Phillips needs a ring

Wade Phillips see's the writting on the wall, Win or be replaced. I'm not talking about winning the division, a playoff game, I'm talking about winning the Super Bowl. Anything else pretty much seals Wades fate. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are about winning, more now than ever. With a NFL record 13 Pro Bowlers returning from last years squad, and several offseason additions the Cowboys are the clear favorite to represent the NFC in this years Super Bowl. Having said that, let me say, just because the Cowboys are the favorite doesn't mean they should go ahead and start reserving rooms in Tampa. They actually have to play out the season, but with the talent this team has that shouldn't be a problem. That puts Wade Phillips in a win now situation.
I'm not sure if everyone remembers, but Jason Garrett was hired before Wade Phillips was. Since being brought over from Miami, where Garrett was the QB coach, Garrett's stock has risen very quickly. Mostly from the Cowboys offensive success last year under Garretts direction. In the 1st year of Garretts offense Tony Romo set new single season records for completions (335) Touchdown passes (36) and Passing yards (4,211.) Not bad considering there are two Hall of Fame QB's that have played for the Cowboys. I'm not giving Garrett all the credit for the Cowboys success, but it certainly could be argued so. Another interesting signing happened a week ago, when the Cowboys signed yet another Garrett to the orginization. Judd Garrett will be joining his two brothers John (tight ends coach) and Jason (Assiatant Head coach/Offensive coordinator) as assistant director of pro personnel. In a year or two the Cowboys coaching staff might resemble the Garrett family reunion photo. But seriously, if Jerry Jones want's Jason Garrett to eventually take over for Wade Phillips, he is making no secret of it by bringing in his two brothers.
Like I said before, Wade Phillips is in a win now situation. Anything less than a Superbowl victory might spell disaster for his career in Dallas. It may not be fair, but when is the NFL fair to coaches?
