Witten on Pacman's first practice

Jason Witten did not get to see everything Pacman Jones did in his first workout with the Cowboys on Tuesday, but he saw the interception.

"First time I think he was in there, you see 21 go the other way," Witten said. "I told him, 'That's the third group. Don't get your hopes up. When you're with the first team, you won't get that one taken to the house.'"

Witten got to know Pacman a little bit at the charity bowling event he held recently. Jones sent him a text asking if he could come, which Witten gladly accepted.

"The one thing I did see [on the practice field] was that he was excited to be out on the field," Witten said. "It looked like it was a long time coming for him. Obviously he's a great player, but I think he's just excited to be out there. He was all smiles. I think he embraces the opportunity to play."
