DMN Blog: No Deal For Glenn...to be waived
by Calvin Watkins
Wide receiver Terry Glenn said there is no deal in place with the Cowboys. Glenn is refusing to come to camp because the team wants him to sign a split salary agreement worth $500,000 should he re-injure his right knee.
Glenn is not here in Oxnard and won't be here until a deal is done with the team. On Thursday, Cowboys officials, mainly Jerry Jones, said something would get done today. But Jones hasn't spoken to the media and other than some small talk with reporters before practice, Wade Phillips hasn't said anything about Glenn.
The Cowboys could release Glenn and attempt to work a trade for a veteran wideout, Atlanta's Joe Horn comes to mind only because he's requested a trade.
Dallas could also sign a less established wide receiver to fill out the roster.
