Predicting a Super Bowl trip

The anticipation that used to greet the arrival of the preseason preview magazines and all that information in one place ... has kind of dissipated. The magazines are just as well done but a few keystrokes and you have have the same facts at your fingertips.
Still, the predictions bear watching, especially when a consensus emerges. And one has, asUSA Today notes in its overview story.
Lindy's, Athlon, Pro Football Weekly and the Sporting News all have the Cowboys in the big one with the Roman numbers with Athlon predicting a championship. While that may be comforting, just remember that none of the preview mags had the New York Giants even reaching the Super Bowl last season.
