Tony Romo And The Cowboys: Regrouped and Dangerous

Tony Romo returned from his injury last night to lead the Dallas Cowboys (6-4) over the hated rivals, the Washington Redskins 14-10. Still with a broken pinkie, Romo's numbers were 19 of 27 for 198 yards, with a touchdown to rookie Martellus Bennett and two interceptions.
One was intended for Terrell Owens on a slant route, which Tony threw behind T.O. instead, and right into the arms of his good buddy DeAngelo "MeAngelo" Hall. If you remember, Halllly had a spitting incident with T.O. in a 2006 game where Owens was fined $35,000 for allegedly spitting on Hall during a Cowboys-Falcons game, where the Cowboys won 38-28.
The other interception, was on a pass intended for T.O. once again, but was punished by Carlos Rogers, who made Owens lose the ball. It then went right into the waiting arms of Redskins' linebacker Rocky McIntosh. Had the defense not stifled the Redskins all night, those two hiccups could've been back breakers for the Cowboys. Tony settled down however, and it appeared that the most famous pinkie in America wasn't going to be an issue, as all the Cowboys' receivers had at least 34 yards receiving.
Marion "The Barbarian" Barber helped the Cowboys chew the remaining six minutes off the clock and enabled the Cowboys to walk away with the "must win" they needed in order to make their case for the postseason. A lot of people had written the Cowboys off after embarrassing, lopsided losses to the perennial doormat St.Louis Rams, and the "NFC juggernaut" New York Giants.
Nevertheless, with the return of Romo and Terence Newman on defense, the Cowboys should be a competitive team down the stretch with improved defensive play, improved offensive line play, and a punishing run game.
The Cowboys now have San Francisco, Seattle, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, the New York Giants, and Philadelphia left on the 2008 schedule. We'll have to wait and see if the Cowboys can use the talent they have, to produce quality results.
I think they could easily go 6-1 or even 7-0 to close out the season, and easily reach the playoffs. These Cowboys just need to continue playing a physical game and keep the sense of urgency that was witnessed last night in dispatching their most hated rivals.
