Here's Sam Hurd on ESPN 1250 in San Antonio earlier today...

Sam is going to get a shot this season if the Cowboys don't add any more WR's in FA or in the draft.
Right now I think he's behind Roy, Austin and Crayton on the depth chart.
He's not the fastest guy, but he is a solid route runner and has good hands. His problem was that he had veterans in front of him and then when he finally got his shot last year he went down with that ankle injury.
I like that he says he's been working on his speed. If he can improve his straight line speed he could get some looks in place of Crayton on the three wide sets.
There has been some talk that Travis Wilson and Isaiah Stanback have looked good too though. So Hurd had better not come up with any injuries this spring or summer because that might lead to him fighting for a roster spot come late August.
