WFAA Blog: Cowboys to use Coppell stadium temporarily

By Aaron Chimbel

At least in the short-term the Dallas Cowboys will not be able to use their Valley Ranch practice fields as investigators do their work to determine why the team's indoor practice facility collapsed Saturday.

So during this period of voluntary, independent workouts players will use Coppell ISD's Cowboy Stadium about five miles away.

The Cowboys have asked the district to use their stadium on May 7, 12 and 14 for an hour and half each day for a few players, according to Jessica Doty, a district spokeswoman. They did not indicate times or which players.

The Cowboys' OTAs (organized team activities) are scheduled for May 19-21, May 26-28, June 2-4 and June 8-10.

The team's mini-camp is June 16-18.

The Cowboys have not yet determined if they will be able to practice at Valley Ranch for any of those days, according to a team spokesman.
