You know how the new buzz on Matthew Stafford is he'll be starting sooner rather than later?

Well, the expectations for a former Lions quarterback are at the other end of the spectrum.

Jon Kitna, in his new role as the Dallas Cowboys' backup for quarterback Tony Romo, says he should start ... never, if things go as planned, and he's accepting of that.

"I completely recognize that the best thing for this team is for me to never play a down this season," Kitna told the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. "I know that and I'm perfectly OK with that."

That's what they all say.
