America's Team On Your Holiday Weekend TV

Apparently the folks at NFL Network know a good holiday tie-in when they see one. That's why they're going heavy on the America's Game specials on the weekend of America's Birthday.

It's the series of hour-long specials about each Super Bowl winning team, from the '66 Packers to the '07 Giants. The marathon starts at 5 a.m. (CST) Saturday, and don't conclude until 11 p.m. Sunday. With five Super Bowl wins during that period, America's Team will be well represented.

Cowboys championship teams from 1971, 1977, 1992, 1993 and 1995 will be profiled. Martin Sheen narrates the '71 special, while Lawrence Fishburn does the talking for the '77 team. The '92 Cowboys are voiced-over by Alec Baldwin, and Ed Harris handles the '93 and '95 shows.

Here the schedule (all times central):

1971 Cowboys - 10 a.m. Saturday

1977 Cowboys - 4 p.m. Saturday

1992 Cowboys - 7 a.m. Sunday

1993 Cowboys - 8 a.m. Sunday

1995 Cowboys - 10 a.m. Sunday.

Flip over to ESPN while the San Francisco's 1994 championship team is being. Sportscenter's summer "My Wish" series will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the story of 6-year-old Ian Gregory, a T-cell lymphoma patient undergoing chemotherapy who last month got the chance to visit Cowboys mini-camp practice and meet his favorite player, Marion Barber.
