TIDBITS: Parcells is trying to make sure his team doesn’t look past a Lions team that is 4-5 heading into Sunday’s game at Texas Stadium. In fact, he threatened to cut Wednesday’s news conference short unless people wanted to talk about Detroit.
“I think their team is better than it was last year,” Parcells said. “We have a short time to get ready. I brought the players in a little later today to try to get the coaches more of a chance to get up to speed. I am going to keep them here until about 7 p.m., so it will be long day.”
Parcells indicated that he was too easy on his players during the recent bye week and wouldn’t make that mistake again. The Cowboys' defense allowed a season-high 183 rushing yards against one of the worst rushing teams in the league Monday.
