Dallas Cowboys sign Veteran Tackle Marc Columbo

The Cowboys have signed veteran tackle Marc Columbo (6-8, 317) to a one-year deal for the NFL minimum of $540,000.The former first-round pick of the Chicago Bears (2002) out of Boston College, who will earn $31,764 per week, is expected to provide depth at tackle for the Cowboys.He was waived on Sept. 13 by the Bears after four seasons with the club. He has seven starts in 18 career games played. The move fills Dallas' final open roster spot.The team also made a move with their practice squad today, releasing guard Shannon Snell and signing defensive end Vontrell Jamison. Jamison is a rookie free agent from Clemson who originally went to camp with St. Louis this summer. He was released by the Rams in late August.
