This is what is at stake for the Dallas Cowboys tonight

Great Comments by Stasheroo from a sports forum:

Tonight's game is the biggest of the year for this Cowboys team so far. Don't believe it? Consider this: A win in tonight's game is nearly the equivalent of three wins.

1) If the Cowboys win, they will achieve a 6-3 record tied for best in the division and having beaten the Giants already, they would hold the tiebreaker at present

2) An Eagles loss would send them to a 4-5 sub .500 record and scrambling to salvage their season. It would be a devastating blow to the team's confidence as well, shattering any remaining aura of superiority

3) It would make them a desperate opponent for both New York and Washington the rest of the way. They still play the Redskins once and the Giants twice making those team's lives that much harder in the process.

A win tonight and the Cowboys are considered a legitimate NFC contender. Two wins against the defending NFC champs would speak volumes. It would also give the younger members of the team a confidence boost which never hurts. This is how champions are built. A team can point to a game like this and know that this is when it all came together. This is when we established ourselves. This is where we took that next big step. This is where we made our statement.

The Eagles are on the ropes.

Now the Cowboys finish it.

GO COWBOYS!
