Eagles' Westbrook to miss final month

PHILADELPHIA (Dec. 6, 2005) -- Running back Brian Westbrook will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury, the fourth Pro Bowl player the Philadelphia Eagles have lost for the season in the past month. Westbrook injured his foot Dec. 5 in the first half of a 42-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. An MRI exam confirmed Westbrook has a Lis Franc injury. Westbrook, who recently signed a five-year extension, had nine carries for 17 yards in the loss to Seattle. On the season, Westbrook had 156 carries for 617 yards and three touchdowns, along with 61 catches for 616 yards and four touchdowns. Other Pro Bowl players lost for the season include quarterback Donovan McNabb, wide receiver Terrell Owens, cornerback Lito Sheppard and left tackle Tra Thomas.
