Expert's Take
Hannam is a high motor situational tight end. He is more of H-back type than your prototype NFL in-line tight end. He is undersize and he does not have ideal height and weight. He lacks power and overall strength to be a point of attack blocker. He gets overpowered by bigger defenders and struggles to anchor the POA. He is a position blocking tight end that is best on the backside of plays where he can seal and wall off defenders. He takes good angles off the ball, he plays with good knee bend and leverage and he work hard to sustain his blocks. He is not explosive off the ball but once he gets going he has enough speed to stretch the secondary in the passing game. He has sure hands, he has excellent COD skills and he is a discipline route runner. He is crisp coming into and out of breaks, he does a nice job adjusting to ball and he will make the hard catch over the middle and in traffic. He does a good job of finding the soft spot in the zone. He has decent run after the catch ability and he has the speed to run by most linebackers and safeties. Overall, Hannam is a blue collar situational receiving TE that provides depth at the position and does a nice job on special teams. He has an excellent work ethic and you love his effort and his game has improved but he is not special. His production and big play ability are limited and he is still more of a project than he is a player.

60-64: Good Backup
This is a player who is really on the bubble and only starts because of a team's deficiency at the position. ... He lacks complete overall skills, and although he will battle, he will hinder his team's ability to play at a championship level if forced to be in the starting lineup consistently over a 16-game season. ... This player needs to be a solid contributor in the kicking game or show great versatility at his position to keep his roster spot. ... He is a player you don't mind having on your team, but you are always looking to upgrade.
