ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the players and owners didn't reach an agreement today
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the players and owners didn't reach an agreement today.
They deliberated for five hours. Union lawyer Jeffrey Kessler, a lead negotiator for the NFLPA, said that the talks "are as dead as a doornail" and that it's "a sad day for the NFL." Apparently they're still far apart on the allotment of revenues. The NFLPA's Gene Upshaw told Mortensen "(the owners) want a bigger piece of the pie...I'm heading back to Washington." The sides have until 12AM ET Monday.
