JJT on the Ticket: On T.O.

JJT on the Ticket: On T.O.

JJT thinks the Cowboys are interested, but he's still not quite sure how interested. He and Todd Archer are in the process trying to gauge the Cowboys level of interest.

Keyshawn

JJT said he believes Key would like a slight raise. He's scheduled to make $2.5million next yr. and he believes Key would like a bump to $3.5 million. He said that we should know more on March 16 when Key is owed a $1 million roster bonus. If they pay him the million, then he is obviously coming back. JJT thinks if TO is signed, that Key will not be back.

Dan Campbell

He had foot problems two years ago and played through a hernia this season. He's at the age where he's starting to breakdown. He was part of that OL last season that couldn't run the ball. He's not a dominant run blocker for a guy who is 1-dimensional and can't catch passes. JJT thinks the Cowboys want to get better and younger.

Larry Allen

JJT thinks if the Cowboys can find a Guard in FA who is cheaper, but still a good player, then they could release Allen. He's scheduled to count over $7 million against the cap and is no longer a dominant player. He can be dominant for a few games a season, but not for long stretches. JJT doesn't see Allen taking a pay cut to stay in Dallas. Kind of like Eddie George, he'll take less to play somewhere else, but not for Dallas. It's a pride thing.

FS

JJT thinks the Cowboys prefer Marcus Coleman over Chavous. He said Coleman had some off-field problems last year, but if the Cowboys can get him into their environment, they think he will be fine and productive. He said it's possible they could add both Coleman and Chavous and really solidify the safety position and the depth.

Kicker

JJT and Archer both think the Cowboys top choice will be Longwell. He's a good solid K who has kicked in big games and bad weather. Kicking in Texas Stadium should be a cakewalk compared to kicking in GB.

12:01 tonight

JJT thinks the Cowboys will be aggressive right off the bat which he believes is the way to go. He thinks they will call Rosenhaus tonight and see what's shaking with TO. He also thinks they will call a FA Guard tonight, but he's just not sure who.
