Backup quarterback job is Tony Romo's to lose

Matt Mosley, DallasNews.com's Cowboys beat writer, answered your questions on Friday, June 30.

CowboysZone: Do you think Dallas will bring in a moderetly priced vet QB to back up Bledsoe?

Matt Mosley: Folks, as hard as this is for some of you to accept, the backup quarterback job is Tony Romo's to lose. I have no idea why Parcells is so down on Drew Henson. I thought he did a pretty good job in Dusseldorf, especially when you consider his not-ready-for-prime-time supporting cast. Henson needs Parcells to retire after this season. It's that simple. Here's what I do know: You will be amazed at how much time Romo plays in the pre-season. Bledsoe will get a couple of dress rehearsals, and then Romo will take over from there. It will almost feel like Romo's the starter by the time preseaon's over. And I've said it plenty of times, but this kid actually thinks he has a shot at beating out Bledsoe. Is he delusional? Maybe, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
