Mike Vanderjagt missed two potential game-winning field goals wide right in overtime Thursday. The game ended in a 10-10 tie.
It was Vandy's first action of the preseason. He hit a 22-yard attempt in regulation, then missed badly on a 33-yarder in OT, conjuring memories of last season's playoff meltdown. He then missed again wide right from 32 yards out with six seconds left. It's possible that Vanderjagt, seen being consoled by T.O. after the shanks, kicked himself wide right off the team.
