Jerry Jones on Norm 11-10

How much if any are the Cowboys looking at AZ stadium for thieirs? This will be my 6th visit to the stadium. It has been ideal in that I can see it. Our endzones will retract. It is nice to get a feel for costs and other things that come up. We can see how it works before we make a final decision.

I have been trying to think about another game that had a weirder ending, the only think I can think of is the Thanksgiving game against Miami. That's right. I have made that comparison as well. Other than that I haven't had that feeling to go from elation to devastation so quickly. Hopefully the results are the same, after the Miami game we never lost another game.

Can you detect any hangover effect on the team this week? No, we feel like we are better than a 4-4 team. We have heard the "you are what you are", but I don't know if we are what we are, as we now have Tony Romo, and he has only started 2 of our 8 games. We have been making mental mistakes and I think that has a way of evening out, and the players are trying to focus on that.

Are you disappointed at being 4-4. Oh yes, I could not imagine at the beginning of the season that we would be 4-4. But had I known that Bledsoe wasn't going to be the QB at this point then you would have to know there was something wrong at that position. That being said we like what Romo has done after only two starts.

Have you now switched your opinion on your initial impression of playing Romo? Yes, we have seen him play well and protect the ball. The unknown was if he could take care of the ball. He has shown he can be coached through games and stay within himself and the gameplan. Palmer says Romo listens real well during the game. He actually listens.

If you were "Professor Jones" and you were grading you class at this point, what grade would they get. Well, obviously it would be a C. But my english teacher my senior year gave me a C and quoted "What a waste!", that is kind of it, a wake up call at this point

Parcells is disturbed about the penalties. He says I can't coach concentration. Isn't that what he is supposed to do? I think Bill is showing his frustration. In practice he focuses on paying attention to the details, he is using every ability and experience to pull the team out of these kind of mistakes. There is no one else I would rather have to try and solve these kind of problems other than Bill Parcells.

Every minute BP and I spend together right now is about this season. We have not been in a situation with so few injuries and with as good as a team as we have right now. There are some glaring problems with allowing big plays and penalties.

There is a consensus that BP is taking it one year at a time. I remember Jimmy kind of sending the signs that he was burning out, and you had a handful of names you thought could replace him, do you have that now? No, I have spent weeks and weeks in the competition committee meetings hanging in and around coaches, much more than guys I knew when I was in college, which was my experience and how I hired my first two coaches. Now I have been to combines and senior bowls, I now know a lot of coaches, so I would use those resources when that time comes.

TO took responsibility for his situation last week, yet he still got the penalty making fun of the situation: I don't care what is said, more concerned with the attitude of the team. There is nothing to say other than his play and performance. He was rightly criticized for taking the penalty. With a lot of players most of the time you have to look at the upside with other issues.
