ESPN Chat - Gary Horton From Scouts Inc.

NFC East Stuff ---

Dallas (WV): Have you heard anything on whether Parcells stays or goes? If he does stay do you think Henning (who was fired by Carolina) will join his staff?

Gary Horton: I believe that they are very close and that would be a great hire. I think Parcells will stay, because he is watching these playoffs and realizing his team is as good as any of the teams in the NFC. And they could easily be a Super Bowl contender next year, and he won't want to give that up.

Mike (San Diego): Gary, do you really believe in Tony Romo? His first 4 games were great, then DCs started figuring him out and he was exposed. Pesonally, I think the Cowboys better go out and get someone to challenge him, or it's going to be ugly next year. Your thoughts on this situation?

Gary Horton: I do really believe in Romo, and so do the Cowboys. And I don't think another QB will be in the mix, unless it is a veteran backup to help mentor him. I love his movement in the pocket, and I think he can make all the throws, and I think you will see him really grow up this offseason because of what happened. He will be ready for 2007. I don't think he is a fluke at all.
