Cowboys: Q&A: KEITH DAVIS

by Chad Peters

San Antonio Express-News Ever wonder who's the best "Madden" video-game player on the Cowboys' roster? Strong safety Keith Davis says it's him — and it's not even close.

How good are you at "Madden?" Man, I'm the best on the team. I can take on anybody.

Would your teammates agree with that assessment? Some might differ. But they're just jealous because they probably haven't played me yet. They're nervous. I offered to play anybody on the team, so it doesn't matter.

Who on the team have you played? Over the years, I've played a bunch of guys on this team. But usually you've got your young guys who come in fresh out of college who think they're the best at "Madden." Those normally are the biggest challenges because that's all they have to do in college is sit around and play the game.

Any particular beatings come to mind? There's quite a few — Jacques Reeves, Jason Ferguson.
What team do you use when playing? We play random. We hit the random button three times and that's who we play with. That kind of makes the game easier.

Have you ever gotten the Cowboys? Yeah, I get the Cowboys from time to time.

What do you do with yourself when on defense? I'm bringing myself. I'm blitzing with myself. And I'm bringing wood, baby, all day long.

What is the highest amount of points you've ever scored on one of your teammates? We play with a 21-point rule. If you get up by 21, then the game's over.

Who's the worst "Madden" player on the team? I really don't know. I don't want to put anybody out there as the worst right now. Come back and see me a little later on and I'll let you know who's the worst.
