Player of the week
Anthony Henry was named the NFC's defensive player of the week Tuesday. Henry had two interceptions, including a 28-yard return for a touchdown, four passes defensed and four tackles in the Cowboys' 34-10 win against Chicago. It's the sixth multi-interception game of his career.

Gramatica released
The Cowboys released kicker Martin Gramatica from injured reserve Tuesday.
Gramatica injured his hamstring in the preseason game at Houston. He was placed on injured reserve Sept. 1 and has not been active this season.
He signed with the Cowboys on Nov. 27 and finished the season making six of eight field goals and all 14 extra points. He signed a contract extension after the 2006 season.
Gramatica competed with rookie sixth-round draft pick Nick Folk in training camp before getting injured.
Too many penalties
Unlike former coach Bill Parcells, Wade Phillips said he is responsible for the team's penalties.
Phillips is not happy with the number of flags the Cowboys have drawn this season. The Cowboys have committed 30 penalties for 256 yards this season. Even though they have overcome them in a 3-0 start, Phillips knows the penalty habit could come back to haunt the Cowboys down the road if they don't get it cleaned up. The Cowboys were flagged 12 times against Chicago on Sunday.
'I do think it's important we cut ours down because there was a big advantage in the game,' Phillips said. 'We overcame I don't know how many penalties by making plays. We blame it on ourselves. We don't have excuses. We're going to get better.'
Banged up Rams
Not only is Rams running back Steven Jackson out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, but quarterback Marc Bulger will be hobbled.
According to the Rams, Bulger is playing with two broken ribs and a bruised knee. The Rams ran a conservative game plan Sunday to keep Bulger out of harm's way. There is a chance backup Gus Frerotte will see some action against the Cowboys.
Streak breakers
The Cowboys are 3-0 for the first time since 1999 and the 14th time in club history. Dallas plays St. Louis on Sunday at Texas Stadium. Only four of the club's 3-0 starts ended with a loss in the fourth game and all were on the road.

The Cowboys have scored 116 points in their first three games. The total is the second-highest since the NFL merger in 1970 and the third-highest in club history.
