DMN Blog: Gramatica out

The Cowboys cut kicker Martin Gramatica off injured reserve Tuesday. Already out for the season because of a hamstring injury, Gramatica is free to sign with another team. However, if he does, then he would lose out on the chance on collecting on a possible injury settlement.

The team cut Gramatica without reaching an injury settlement, which will undoubtedly lead to a grievance.

Gramatica suffered the injury in the third preseason game at Houston and was unable to kick in the finale at Minnesota, which forced the move to injured reserve so the team could reach the 53-man roster limit.

He received a $200,000 signing bonus in the off-season when he re-signed with the Cowboys.
