IRVING – Cowboys wide receiver Terry Glenn had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Thursday morning and hopes to play this season, team spokesman Rich Dalrymple said.
Glenn opted to have arthroscopic surgery on his knee for the second time in two months instead of a microfracture procedure, which would have eliminated any possibility of him playing this season.
"There's no timetable as to when, but with this procedure, they feel like he has a chance to come back and make a run at playing this season,” Dalyrymple said.
Glenn, 33, who had 70 catches for 1,047 yards and six touchdowns last season, was not immediately available for comment. Christopher Kaeding, Ohio State's team doctor, performed the operation in Glenn's hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
Glenn had arthroscopic surgery on Aug. 1 to remove a cyst behind the kneecap and sat out the entire preseason. He injured the cartilage in the knee after returning to practice last week.
