Owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday that he expects CB Terence Newman (foot) to play in Week 1

Newman has a partially torn plantar fascia in his right heel and sat out practice Wednesday, meaning that he hasn't practiced in about three weeks. Despite that, Jones was encouraged by Newman's rehab work, suggesting that he could be able to practice Thursday.
