IRVING -- Owner Jerry Jones hinted Sunday night that a contract extension might be in left tackle Flozell Adams' future.
The much-maligned Adams is a free agent after the season and there had been talk about the Cowboys letting him walk in 2008.
But there was Jones talking about a third contract for Adams after what coach Wade Phillips called his best game of the season.
The line overall played well against the dominant Giants front, limiting it to one sack.
Adams played the best, holding Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora to no sacks.
Never mind that the stat sheet credited Umenyiora with one sack and the Giants with two. His tackle of quarterback Tony Romo came on a busted running play.
Phillips said he will have film of the play sent to the league and have the sack wiped off the official record books. "They will change it," Phillips said. "It was a running play."
