Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton missed Tuesday's practice with a sprained ankle, and might not be recovered in time for the Thanksgiving game against the New York Jets.

Crayton suffered the injury in Sunday's 28-23 win over the Washington Redskins. He finished the game, but the ankle kept him out of practice on Tuesday. Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips indicated Tuesday that Crayton might be ready in a regular week, but the Thursday game might prevent him from playing.

In the midst of a career year, Crayton has 33 catches for 482 yards and five touchdowns for the Cowboys. This is the fourth season in the NFL, all with the Cowboys, for the seventh-round selection in the 2004 draft out of Northwestern Oklahoma State.
