Stinson On TO's TDs: "I Would Have Been Fired"

Reid: Terrell Owens catches four touchdown passes against Washington, and that's what stands out. How does that happen, and did it ever happened to you?
Lemuel Stinson: No, if it had, I would have been fired, or doing something else. The defense wasn't playing that well for the Redskins. Their best safety was out, they were trying to run a cover two and Dallas was hitting them in the seams. The corner didn't synch like he was supposed to, and the safety was late getting over.

Reid: This was the kind of game that looked like a statement game for the Cowboys. Is that how you saw it?
Stinson: Yeah, I think Dallas only has one more test. They've had to survive all of the tests they've had to go through, beating the Giants, beating the Redskins. Now the next big test is the Green Bay Packers (November 29th).

Reid: Dallas plays on Thursday, Thanksgiving against the Jets. What's it like to get ready to play on a short week?
Stinson: Sometimes, you can get ready the week before. You take a few plays that you're going to see in the game coming up, and add them into the last five plays of practice so they do get to see a little bit. Looking at the Jets coming in after a good win over the Steelers, you have to really bear down and focus on them.

Reid: What's the rest of the season like for Dallas? What do they still need to tweak or focus?
Stinson: Defense-wise, they're playing great. They gave up a few things here and there, and the Redskins did have an opportunity late but couldn't take advantage of it. I think they still need to work on their two-minute offense.
