Burnett fined
Kevin Burnett has learned that a taunting penalty will cost him $5,000.
The NFL fined the Cowboys' linebacker on Thursday for his post-play penalty last Sunday against the New York Giants. Burnett stood over Giants running back Brandon Jacobs after a tackle and talked some smack, bringing a flag. The penalty helped the Giants kick what was a game-tying field goal to close the first half and earned him some harsh words from coaches and teammates.

Davis speaks, sort of
Right guard Leonard Davis was walking with a noticeable limp outside the locker room on Thursday, but he said his sprained left ankle was, "feeling better."
Davis had his leg rolled up in Wednesday's practice, however, he was able to walk off under his own power. Davis wasn't sure if he would practice today or if he would be available to play on Sunday against Washington.
"Day to day," Davis said, before ducking into the training room for treatment.
If Davis can't play, then Cory Procter would make the first start of his career. Interestingly, had the Cowboys beaten Seattle in the playoffs last year Procter would have had to start the divisional playoff game at right guard over Marco Rivera, who suffered a back injury that forced his retirement.

Glenn sighting
WR Terry Glenn came through the locker room on his way to get treatment, and was quickly out of there. So take that for what it's worth.
Basically, he's in Valley Ranch, and he's being worked on.

Troy Aikman reviews the Hannah Montana show
JOHN F. RHODES / DMN
Troy Aikman was on The Ticket this morning to talk about the Cowboys-Redskins game. But he also made time for his review of Wednesday night's Hannah Montana show. Troy had never even heard of Hannah until his daughters coached him up. Now, the former Cowboys quarterback sounds hooked.
