DMN Blog: Ellis one of the 10 most disgruntled

by Albert Breer

At least that's what my buddy Tom Curran of NBCSports.com thinks. Here's his take on the player with the seventh biggest gripe league-wide ...

7) Greg Ellis, OLB, Dallas Cowboys: Ellis' is a different case. He showed up for OTAs but then bailed because he was upset with the number of repetitions he's getting in practice. Anthony Spencer, the heir apparent to the 33-year-old Ellis, started getting more time in practice this week. According to reports out of Dallas, Ellis doesn't trust the Cowboys contention that they're trying to preserve his body in the offseason. The Dallas Morning News reports that Ellis has a bonus clause in his contract (renegotiated last year) that kicks in only if he appears at 85 percent of the team's offseason workouts and attends mini-camps and training camps.
In case you want to see it, here's the full list of those that aren't content:

1) Dolphins DE Jason Taylor
2) Bengals WR Chad Johnson
3) Bengals WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh
4) Bears LB Brian Urlacher
5) Bills OT Jason Peters
6) Vikings C Matt Birk
7) Cowboys OLB Greg Ellis
8) Chargers WR Kassim Osgood
9) Jaguars DE Paul Spicer
10) Saints DE Will Smith
