Don't hold your breath for Anquan Boldin deal

from dallasnews.com:

Anquan Boldin wants to be traded. Jerry Jones wants a "wow" WR to complement T.O.

So what's the hold up? Oh, yeah, two teams have to agree to a trade. And the Cardinals have no intention of letting Boldin go ... at least not now.

From the Arizona Republic:
The Cardinals have been adamant in their refusal to consider trading Boldin, at least for now. Rosenhaus first made the trade request last spring, according to team officials. Boldin has consistently denied that and did so again Tuesday. The recent trade request was the first, he said. The Eagles, Redskins and Cowboys supposedly could use a receiver, but the Cardinals aren't likely to deal with those teams, which happen to be on the Cardinals' 2008 schedule.

Jerry tried to get Boldin during the off-season, just like he tried to get Chad Johnson and Detroit's Roy Williams. And he'll probably touch base with the Cardinals again now.

However, the odds are awfully slim that Boldin will play for anybody but the Cardinals this season. As far as next year goes, to borrow a Jerry term, that's a horse of a different color.

UPDATE: Superstar columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor wants to make this trade happen now. His proposal: First-rounder, Marcus Spears and Miles Austin for Boldin and a third-rounder.
