Isaiah Stanback, WR Monday 9/1, 5:27 PM CT

Isaiah Stanback will play in Week 1 and serve as the No. 3 receiver, according to the Dallas Morning News. He had been dealing with a dislocated left shoulder.

Our View: He won't return kickoffs, but could be a deep sleeper for Week 1 against the Browns' secondary.

Anthony Spencer, LB Monday 9/1, 1:58 PM CT

Cowboys outside linebacker Anthony Spencer will not play Week 1 after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee August 20, but he hopes to be ready to play Week 2, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Spencer was slated to see a lot more action this season than last, when he made a favorable impression with three sacks and two forced fumbles.

Montrae Holland, G Monday 9/1, 12:32 PM CT

Newly acquired offensive guard Montrae Holland will not be ready to go for the Cowboys in their Week 1 opener, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Holland is not familiar enough with the playbook to make an impact, but he should push starter Kyle Kosier at guard when ready.

Tank Johnson, DT Monday 9/1, 11:49 AM CT

Cowboys defensive tackle Tank Johnson has switched from number 66 to number 95, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Johnson apparently did not like the number 66. But if wearing 95 improves his play, then fantasy owners should be all for it.

Brooks Bollinger, QB Monday 9/1, 11:20 AM CT

Quarterback Brooks Bollinger will likely be signed by the Dallas Cowboys after their Week 1 game against the Browns, according to ESPN.com.

Our View: The reason Bollinger will probably be put on the roster after Week 1 is that the Cowboys would not have to pay him a full salary if they release him at some point in the season. He will be the third string quarterback in Dallas.

Richard Bartel, QB Monday 9/1, 10:37 AM CT

Quarterback Richard Bartel has been signed to the Cowboys practice squad after spending training camp with the team, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Bartel played will in the team's final game, playing the whole way and completing 28 of 41 passes for 233 yards.
