DMN Blog: Miles Austin looking sharp in practice/Just call him Rocky Romo
by Brian Davis
Receiver Miles Austin was running full speed, making cuts and catching plenty of footballs during the open portion of practice today at Valley Ranch. I'm no doctor, but Austin looks like he'll be ready to go this Monday.
Also, for anyone worried about Marion Barber's rib cage, you'll be glad to know he was running around with no apparent extra protection (like rib pads).
Linebacker Anthony Spencer and cornerback Terence Newman are also on the practice field today. As for whether they'll be 100 percent come Monday, we'll have to find out later.

Just call him Rocky Romo
by Tim MacMahon
Tony Romo finds all the talk about his toughness kind of funny.
Jason Witten raved Sunday evening about Romo getting up after Willie McGinest opened a gash on his chin and connecting with Witten for a key third-down conversion the next play. Jean-Jacques Taylor wrote a column for this morning's SportsDay cover about that moment giving Romo credibility.
Romo smirked when asked whether he considered that a big moment.
"I just threw a ball," he said in his normal aw-shucks style. "I don't put much stock into it. You can either see a guy and throw it to him or you can't."
Yeah, given the fact that he was knocked woozy seconds earlier, he might have seen three of Witten at the time. Playing along, Romo worked in a movie reference that folks in Philly should appreciate.
"Hit the one in the middle," he said. "Got some Rocky in here."
