Barber could have limited role

Would you or anyone else have guessed at the beginning of the season that Tashard Choice would have 91 rushing yards to Marion Barber's two in Week 15? Probably not.

But this is where we are and it could stay this way in Week 16 as well. ESPN's Chris Mortensen has speculated that Barber won't be much of a factor in this week's Saturday night game with the Ravens. This seems like a good observation.

For one thing, Barber is clearly still hampered by the dislocated toe he suffered in Week 13. Another thing, the Cowboys would like to get him back up to speed for their playoff game, if that ends up happening. Third, the Ravens don't let any running back really be a factor so a gimpy Barber would be easy prey for them.

On top of all this there's Choice. Coach Wade Philips said that after Sunday's performance against the Giants he would like Choice to get his hands on the ball more.

Neither Cowboy back is a great bet against the Ravens, but Choice looks like the better option if you simply must use one of them.
