Phillips: 'Our locker room is not divided'

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips met with the team this morning to discuss media reports that a rift is developing between quarterback Tony Romo and receivers Terrell Owens, Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton over the trio's complain that Romo favors tight end Jason Witten.
"I am not worried about a divided locker room," Phillips said at a news conference in Irving. "I have talked to the team, I have been with the team, the team has talked together. We've all talked together. There is enough talking. We need to get it done. That's what I told them: We need to get it done. That's the most important thing. All this talk, or non talk, or whatever. We've got to get it done on the football field...I think they have a good attitude and are ready to get it done."
Owens, Williams and Crayton met individually this week with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett to air complaints that Romo is directing too many passes to Witten. Asked how such a story couldn't be a distraction as the team prepares to play the New York Giants on Sunday night in a game with huge playoff implications, Phillips said, "Well, you have to keep it from being a distraction. That's why we had meetings right now and it's closed and it's the coaches talking to the football team. And we are not talking about the media. They are talking about the plays we need to run, special teams...You can't be distracted in those things. And I think we will be fine there."
Bottom line?
"I think everything is set straight," Phillips said. "A lot of it is a non-issue, and the players said the same thing. That's where we are."
