DMN Blog: Montrae Holland To Stay With Cowboys After Receiving Roster Bonus
On a day when they lost one backup offensive lineman, Joe Berger, in free agency to Miami, the Cowboys paid a $500,000 roster bonus to another, Montrae Holland, today, all but assuring his return for the 2009 season.
Holland is scheduled to count $2 million against the cap this year and will make a $1.4 million base salary. He also has a $100,000 workout bonus and $250,000 in incentives. With Holland and Cory Procter receiving the second-round tender worth $1.545 million, the Cowboys have depth on the interior of their line.
