PFT: Cowboys Looking At Linebackers

If anything tangible can be deduced by scrutinizing NFL teams’ official pre-draft visits, which can be a questionable exercise since many organizations use visits as smoke screens or for medical rechecks, then we could probably draw a few inferences about the Dallas Cowboys’ draft outlook.
The Cowboys had at least five linebackers among their allotment of 30 visits at their Valley Ranch team headquarters this week, according to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News.
Per the report, the Cowboys brought in the following linebackers: Lawrence Sidbury Richmond, Jason Williams (Western Illinois), Jasper Brinkley (South Carolina), Marcus Freeman (Ohio State) and Larry English (Northern Illinois).
So, one-sixth of the Cowboys’ visits were devoted to one position, which could mean they’ll be looking to add depth at this position. Or it could mean nothing.
Meanwhile, the next highest position team officials brought in for visits was a group of four wide receivers, consisting of: Patrick Turner (USC), Mohamaed Massaqoui (Georgia), Brian Robiskie (Ohio State) and Brandon Tate (North Carolina).
